A step to be Noogler

I can almost see it, that dream I am dreaming.
But there's a voice inside my head saying, "You'll never reach it".
Every step I'm taking, every move I make feels, lost with no direction, my faith is shaking.
But I gotta keep trying, gotta keep my head held high.

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move, always gonna be a uphill battle.
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there, ain't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb.

The struggles I'm facing, the chances I'm taking, sometimes might knock me down, but no, I'm not breaking.
I may not know it, but these are the moments that I'm gonna remember most, yeah.
Just gotta keep going. And I, I got to be strong, just keep pushing on.

'Cause there's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move, always gonna be a uphill battle.
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose.
Ain't about how fast I get there, ain't about what's waiting on the other side. It's the climb, yeah!

There's always gonna be another mountain.
I'm always gonna wanna make it move, always gonna be a uphill battle.
Somebody's gonna have to lose

Keep on moving, keep climbing, keep the faith, baby. It's all about, it's all about the climb.
Keep the faith, keep your faith!

Hello Aidi,

Thank you for your reply.

I scheduled a phone interview for you as follows.

Secret Month xxth, 2011, xx:00 PM, CET (Zürich, Switzerland Time)

Secret Name, one of our engineers, will call you on your number +x6xxxxxx83.
Please confirm that this date and time will work for you and the phone number is correct. The call will be conducted in English and last approximately 45 minutes. Please be aware that this is a full interview for this role. Progression to the next stage of interviews is dependent on how well you perform. Please note: due to major restrictions on our engineers' calendars, we will only be able to reschedule this interview under emergency circumstances.

For the interview, we need you to have a PC with broadband Internet access and a current web browser. This is because we might be using Google Docs to carry out some coding exercises. This blank document allows the interviewer to see any code you write, in real time. Your interviewer will be clear in their instructions on how to use the application.

To make hands free coding a little easier we recommend you to have a headset or a phone with speaker option available for the phone interview.

The phone interview will test, amongst other things and in no particular order:
* Coding fluency. Your interviewer may request you code up, and compare, a variety of solutions in your preferred object-oriented language (rather than in pseudo-code).
* Fundamental computer science concepts (essential for scaling products).
* Logic, analysis & creative problem solving.
* Ability to develop complex algorithms.
* Scalable systems design.

You should be able to talk through your logic and explain how you come up with your solution – it helps your interviewer understand your thought processes!

In order to prepare for your interview you may want to visit the website www.topcoder.com. Go to 'Software Competitions,' 'Algorithms' and launch the "Arena" widget and then go to the practice rooms where you can play with the problems in the first/second division. They should be a good warm up for you!

I also recommend that you look at our website and familiarise yourself with Google. While you may not necessarily be asked directly about this, it should help you understand more about the company and provide context to some of the questions. These links might be particularly helpful:

Remember that this interview is designed to assess what you DO know, and not what you don’t know! If you need to clarify anything with your interviewer, he’ll/she’ll be happy to do so— please don’t hesitate to ask. Please note that, as recruiters, we are not privy to the technical details of your interview and cannot provide you with any specific feedback.

Please confirm receipt of this email and that you are able to access the Google document.  Please let me know if you need any further information.

Thanks and good luck,
