Dear student,
You have been noticed on Studera.nu that you have got admission to the above mentioned programme. With that notification you can go ahead to apply for residence permit (if you are a non EU-student). You don't need to state any address in Sweden (as most of you don’t have that yet) when you apply for the residence permit and please use my name as contact person (I will then be informed when you have got the permit). Please also start to apply for accommodation, both at KTH and private alternatives as KTH cannot guarantee you accommodation.

We are still awaiting the lists with addresses so we can send out the welcome letters, hopefully in the end of next week. The letters will first be scanned and sent to you by e-mail including some practical information.

The arrival day will be on August 17, The Welcome Address (important information) on August 25 and The mandatory registration will be on August 26.

If you for some reason have decided not to attend the programme, we appreciate if you could inform us about that as soon as possible, as many students are on the reserve list. If you for sure will accept your place you don't need to confirm (to avoid too many e-mails in my mailbox).

Dear Student,

Congratulations on having been admitted to the International Master’s Programme at Royal Institute of Technology, KTH Information and Communication Technology, in Kista (Stockholm).

Please find attached the Welcome letter to the program you are admitted to. Also a Checklist, with important links for further information, is attached.

The scanned Welcome letter can be used for your residence permit application. The original Welcome letter will also be sent to you as soon as possible. If the address is not correct = you have changed address, you urgently need to contact me by answering this e-mail. Please read carefully the information given in the letter and also check the web-site http://www.kth.se/studies/master/admitted-students?l=en for all information you need to know for your studies in Sweden. The housing situation in Stockholm is very difficult and we strongly recommend you check the information given by the accommodation office (see also checklist). Do not forget to send in your housing application before the dead line June 1.

Last day of registration; September 15, 2010, which is stated in the letter, is information needed for the Swedish embassy/Swedish Migration board in case you will have problem getting residence permit on time. This is the only accepted reason for being late after Mandatory registration August 26, 2010. Please contact me in that case. In your application for residence permit you need to mention a contact person at KTH. Please use my name and the address given below. Then I will get a copy of your residence permit confirmation or rejection so I can assist if needed and also know if you can be expected here on time or late.

preliminary Introduction programme is attached to this e-mail and will also be sent to you in the envelope. Please try to make your travel arrangements so you will arrive on August 17. Then you will get some support at the airport and also have time to attend the whole Introduction programme. If it is not possible the Mandatory registration for the programme on August 26 is the most important.

We kindly ask you to inform us, by replying to this e-mail,  if you are not able to join the programme.

I will get back to you all with more practical details in the beginning of August.

We are looking forward to seeing you in Stockholm in August.
